It’s time to get your business migrated to the latest enterprise mobility management technology. Whether you’re considering adopting a BYOD approach, looking to integrate enterprise apps into your processes and workflow, or everything in between, BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 version 10.1 has got what you need.

We recently published an overview of the features of BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 version 10.1. The update includes a simplified deployment experience, more extensive EMM controls for customers in regulated industries, dashboard enhancements, and unified cross-platform administration. Today I’d like to focus on how you can upgrade to BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 version 10.1, including some new offers and discounts that you can take advantage of.

So you’ve got a BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4…

If you’re still running BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 4, the first thing that you’ll want to do is upgrade to BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 5.0.4. This way, you’ll be able to add on BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 and take advantage of all of the fantastic functionality and consolidate your view to all your BlackBerry devices. The good news is that we’re offering upgrades from BlackBerry Enterprise Server 4 to BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5 for FREE (a $995 USD value)! Learn more and take advantage of the offer by heading over to www.blackberry.com/blackberry10ready.

Once you’ve updated to BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 5.0.4, read on to continue on your migration path to BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 version 10.1.

So you’ve got a BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5…

With BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 version 10.1, you can now install the software on a single physical or virtual server and eliminate a separate server for BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5. Head over to www.blackberry.com/bes10 and download a free 60-day trial, purchase licenses, or find a reseller.

If you’re updating your fleet of BlackBerry smartphones to BlackBerry 10 models, you can trade up Client Access Licenses (CAL’s) from BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5 to BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 for free on a one-for-one basis until December 31st, 2013. Learn more and trade up licenses at www.blackberry.com/licensetradeup.

So you’ve got a BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10…

Good! Now all that you need is version 10.1. It’s available as a free download from www.blackberry.com/bes10 and can be installed quickly and simply onto your existing deployment. You’ll also need to migrate your BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 Client Access Licenses to version 10.1. As always, it’s easy to migrate and it won’t cost you a thing.

Get up and running with BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10.1! All of the details, including why you should upgrade in the first place, can be found at the newly redesigned www.blackberry.com/blackberry10ready.

I’d like to share a BlackBerry® 10 experience that will make it simple and intuitive to add your work email account to your BlackBerry 10 smartphone. The process of adding smartphones or tablets into the fold of mobile device management should be straightforward for both IT administrators and employees. Our work in streamlining business mobility with BlackBerry® Enterprise Service 10 extends to the BlackBerry 10 platform with the process for enterprise activation. It’s straightforward; requiring just an email address, a one-time activation password, and an email account password. Whether a personal account or a work account, email is setup the same way with the BlackBerry Infrastructure helping to provide the server settings required. For a work account BlackBerry Balance immediately divides the device into work and personal spaces. The one-time activation password can be created by administrators, or set by end users via self-service tools. Check out the video below for the full scoop!

[ YouTube link for mobile viewing ]

Whether your BlackBerry 10 smartphone is provided by an organization or brought in as a personal device, neither party needs to compromise on security or privacy. The BlackBerry Hub provides access to both work and personal email and social feeds, and a quick swipe down on the home screen allows for switching between work and personal spaces.

With the process for adding work email, calendar, and contacts to your smartphone becoming so straightforward with BlackBerry 10, would you be more likely to use your personal device for work? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Speak privately with a contact during a conference call

During a conference call, press the Menu key.

During a conference call, press the Menu key.

Click Transfer or Flash.

BlackBerry® Presenter is a key accessory for displaying Microsoft® PowerPoint® or Adobe® PDF files directly from your BlackBerry smartphone!

The BlackBerry® Presenter is a BlackBerry® smartphone accessory that can help to simplify your presentation experience.

As a frequent presenter, I’ve had my share of panic attacks and sweaty palms as I frantically try to sort through which cable connects to what outlet on my laptop, and whether it’s F7 or F5 that toggles the screen – and don’t even get me started on my trouble figuring out resolution settings!

Thankfully, now you can leave your laptop back at the office and travel light by presenting Microsoft® PowerPoint® or Adobe® PDF files directly from your BlackBerry smartphone. Just plug BlackBerry Presenter into a projector or monitor and select “Present” from the BlackBerry Presenter software on your BlackBerry smartphone. How easy is that?

Two features we really like: being able to roam up to ten meters away from the presenter with your BlackBerry smartphone in hand, and compatibility with multiple video formats (especially important if you present internationally).

Want to see how it works? Check out this three-part video series on Setting up your BlackBerry Presenter, Presenting with your BlackBerry Presenter, and Using the features of your BlackBerry Presenter.

We’d love to hear how you’re using BlackBerry Presenter!
