A talk with the Director of Security Product Management at Research In Motion about how the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet and security fit into today’s broader sense of security as an enabler.

[ YouTube link for mobile viewing ]

Security is often seen as the isolated responsibility of large enterprise organizations, government bureaucracies, and big banks — and is often associated with locking down the system and blocking user access in the name of protecting data. In reality, nothing could be further from the truth! Security is an increasingly broad concern for all organizations, and the smart ones (of all sizes) see security not as a hammer, but as a lever – an enabler, — that allows end users to achieve their own unique and important objectives without compromising the organization or creating undue burden on limited IT resources.

To this end, I recently caught up with Mike K. Brown, Director of Security Product Management at Research In Motion® (RIM®), to discuss how the BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet and security fit into today’s broader sense of security as an enabler. Check out the video above!

How does your organization handle mobile security?
