Customer Feedback Continues to Drive Enhancements to BBM Meetings

We’re listening! BlackBerry continues to add feature enhancements to BBM Meetings in response to customer feedback. Today we are releasing a new version of BBM Meetings that makes it easier than ever to create and join meetings, and save content once your meeting is complete.

With today’s release, users will now see a simple menu when they join a BBM Meeting that gives them options of how they want to connect to the audio portion of the meeting – via their computer, the mobile application, or telephone. This streamlines the process for getting connected to the meeting and eliminates confusion when participants choose to use a different method to connect via video and audio.

We’re also introducing a plug-in for Microsoft Lync which enables BBM Meetings users to easily create a one-click instant BBM Meeting within a Microsoft Lync conversation or within a user’s contact list. This plug-in makes it easier than ever before to join and create an instant meeting in a matter of seconds.

Cloud storage provides customers with access to their recorded BBM Meetings anytime, anywhere, without having to search through other files or take up space on their hard drive.

If you’re already a BBM Meetings host user, you will be prompted to upgrade to the newest version of BBM Meetings when you log in to the desktop version. You can also update your software via the BlackBerry Enterprise Software Download Site.
